The Accommodation Survey pivot tables are released at the same time as the monthly Accommodation Survey information releases. The Accommodation Survey information is normally updated by the 12th day of the month, except January when it is updated about the 20th.

Accommodation Survey pivot tables
The Accommodation Survey pivot tables provide more detailed information, breaking the survey variables down by regional tourism organisation areas and territorial authority areas.
Due to file size limitations, the pivot tables only contain data from January 2000. For earlier data, please refer to Infoshare or contact us for a customised data request
These pivot tables are in Excel 1997 and 2007 formats. If you do not have access to Excel 97 or higher, you may use the Excel file viewer to view, print and export the contents of the file.
Note: To use the pivot tables, click on the shaded boxes in cell B1, B2, or B3 and select the desired Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO), Territorial Authority (TA), or Accommodation Type (Type). Do not use 'All' in the RTO, TA, or Type drop-down menus as 'All' includes every category including 'Total' and is therefore larger than the total.
Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) Area by Accommodation Type (Type)
Contains the number of establishments, capacity, occupancy rates, guest nights, guest arrivals, length of stay, and some ratios of these variables.
The graph on the first worksheet will change to display the RTO and Type you select on the second worksheet. When printing the graph, select a cell rather than the graph so the heading will print.
The third worksheet allows for RTO comparison and also displays market share of guest nights.
Territorial Authority (TA) by Total Accommodation
Contains the number of establishments, capacity, occupancy rates, guest nights, guest arrivals, length of stay, and some ratios of these variables.
Origin of Guests by Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO)
Contains domestic and international guest night variables.
Printing a selection of data in a spreadsheet
If you only want to print out some of the information in a spreadsheet, either select the pages you want in the print box, or hide the data you don't want to print by highlighting the columns or rows of data you don't want; then right-click the mouse and select 'Hide'.
Archived Pivot Tables - July 1996 to August 2009
The following tables contain data up to August 2009, before the survey change in September 2009. These archived tables contain data based on 1996 RTO boundaries and still include the 'hosted' accommodation type.
