Electricity generation down from last year's high
Highlights
In the September 2007 quarter:
Total electricity generation fell 4.5 percent compared with the September 2006 quarter.
In the September 2007 year:
Total electricity generation fell 0.8 percent compared with the September 2006 year.
Hydro and wind generation fell 7.1 percent and thermal generation fell 0.9 percent.
Gas production increased for the first time in a September year since 2001.
The amount of crude petroleum produced was the largest for any quarter since records began in 1986.
Diesel deliveries increased again – they've increased every September year since 1996
