Productivity is a measure of how efficiently production inputs are being used, within the economy, to produce output.

- Industry productivity statistics: 1978–2008
This report presents labour, capital, and multifactor productivty estimates for 23 of New Zealand's industries. For all but three of those, the estimates extend back 30 years. It is a major step forward in determining New Zealand’s productivity performance from 1978. Published 25 June 2010.
