In January 2010 compared with December 2009:
- Food prices rose 2.1 percent.
- Grocery food prices rose 1.8 percent.
- Fruit and vegetable prices rose 4.8 percent.
- Meat, poultry, and fish prices rose 3.3 percent.
- Non-alcoholic beverage prices rose 1.8 percent.
- Restaurant meals and ready-to-eat food prices rose 0.3 percent.
From January 2009 to January 2010:
- Food prices increased 2.2 percent.
