Research and Development Survey: 2004

Highlights

Total R&D expenditure in the 2004 reference period was $1,601.3 million. This represents an increase of 13.1 percent when compared with total R&D expenditure from the 2002 survey.	Private sector R&D expenditure was $648.1 million in the 2004 reference period. This represents an increase of 24.5 percent from the 2002 reference period.
