Businesses that Ask, Receive Finance

Highlights

  • Thirty-six percent of businesses sought finance in the 12 months to August 2004.

 
  • Most requests resulted in finance being obtained. Ninety percent of finance requests made by businesses resulted in either some or all of the amount sought being received. 
  • This finance was more likely to be in the form of debt finance, which was sought by 34 percent of businesses, than equity finance, sought by 6 percent.
